Dear Chris, Neil, Jake and Colin,
I would like to thank you once again for pursuing this exchange to the point of giving a concert for us.
You have been incredibly generous.
And you are remarkably talented!
We all enjoyed your performance.

Thrursday, July 23

Today we had classes as everyday at Wellman Hall, We watched a documentary about Hurracaine Katrina, that was really interesting but also shocking. We could learn about its origin and the reason why the damages were catastrophic. The documentary also shown images of te hurracaine and the consequences, while making an explanation about political issues. It was a strong video, but really mind-opening.
After lunch, we went to the Jelly Belly Factory in Vacaville, some miles away from Davis. The factory was really beautiful and crowded. We learnt about the making process of the famous jelly beans and how they create the diferent flavours. We also received a free sample to taste the different beans.
Some hours later, we arrived to the Vacaville Outlets where we could shop for an hour. The shops where incredible and we could buy great products. The brands we visited are Gap, Levi’s, Polo Ralph Lauren, Max Rave, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike and much more.
At 5.30 we began the trip to return with our host families,

Marisol, Ornella and Sol

July 17th

It’s July, 17th. We woke up early and went to school. We gathered at Wellman Hall as usual and had our English and Culture classes.
Some students changed classes and also played some games, such as bingo. As it is Natalia’s birthday, we sang ‘Happy Birthday’, both in English and Spanish.
After lunch, we went to the fieldwork meeting where we were asked to write this report. Later, we had some ice-cream and field pre-trip meeting.
Then, some of us went to the swimming pool and the ones who didn’t want to swim, went to the video games and have some fun.
Finally, after returning home, we get together at Blanca’s sister’s house to celebrate Natalia’s birthday.

Saturday 18th July
Today we went to six flags. It was really hot but we had a great time. While we were getting there we could see those huge roller coasters, totally different from Argentina. They were so big that we were a little bit scared and we couldn’t imagine how it was going to feel.
When we arrived we divided into different groups and each one went to where they wanted. We went to 8 roller coasters: one of them was green and was the biggest of the park, there was another one which was red and was less scary than the green one. Then, there was a roller coaster that simulated an old one and it went very fast in comparison with the others. One of the most fun roller coasters was one in which you had to sit with three other people and it stated to turn in circles. As it was so hot we went to a small roller coaster that its only objective was to get wet.
After so much fun we went to have lunch all together. The girls ate some hamburgers and the boys ate hamburgers but with a Bucket of French fries that it was so big that it never ended and the girls had to help the guys finishing it. After we had lunch Patricia, Maria Laura and Hebe wanted to go to a roller coater that it was with water and you get wet. We had to wait for an hour to get to it but finally we did it and we ended really wet. It was very funny! Some others stayed on the grass talking and listening to music.
When we finished we gather and we went to the bus and went home. After that we went to our houses and that was the end of that fantastic day in Six Flags.

Sunday 12th July

We started our morning traveling to Sacramento. It was a nice trip all together, we had a lot of fun on the bus. It dropped us in front of the capitol. After we took pictures of it, we divided in three different groups, each one leaded by Mark, Gabe or Paizly. That way we took turns to visit each room inside the Capitol.

We even stood outside Arnold Schwarzenegger's office! Then we walked all the way down to the mall and everyone took their time to buy something new. When we finished going around the mall, we got together once again and divided one more time in three groups to visit Old Sacramento. It actually looked just like a western movie! We took our time to go through all kinds of stores. We entered a chocolate shop, a magic store, and the train museum, which showed one really old train and had all kinds of little toy trains an T-shirts. We were finally waiting for everyone to get together so we could get back to Davis, but we saw a Candy shop across the street and couldn't resist all those colours together, so we entered and bought some sweet stuff. On the way to Davis, everyone signed a card for Mayra, as it was her birthday. In the end it was a nice journey and we all did enjoy it, although it was an extremely hot, sunny day.
